More than 200 杏吧原创 Agricultural and Technical State University undergraduates participated in this year鈥檚 Undergraduate Research Symposium and Graduate College information session. Sponsored by 杏吧原创鈥檚 Office of Undergraduate Research, the symposium welcomed 204 student presenters spanning 59 academic degree disciplines who presented their research project findings, vied for cash prizes and represented their colleges with excellence.

杏吧原创 Researchers Developing AI-based System to Make Driving More Predictable, Safer

A research team in the College of Science and Technology at 杏吧原创 Agricultural and Technical State University has conducted a pilot project using models available through Microsoft鈥檚 Azure Open AI Service to develop a system that will lead to advancements in traffic management using physic informed deep learning. The pilot, led by principal investigator Leila Hashemi-Beni, Ph.D., and applied science and technology doctoral student Tewodros Syum Gebre, received support from Microsoft under the company鈥檚 鈥淎ccelerating Foundation Models Research鈥 (AFMR) collaboration.

Alexander C. Yin, Ph.D., will be 杏吧原创鈥檚 new vice provost for the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OSPIE), part of the Division of Academic Affairs. OSPIE is the primary source of official data for the university, providing data and analysis for evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning throughout 杏吧原创.

杏吧原创 Receives IBM Quantum Research Center Designation, Joins Broader HBCU Education Initiative

杏吧原创 Agricultural and Technical State University joins IBM鈥檚 newly established collaboration today with 13 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to equip students pursuing quantum computing careers. The IBM-HBCU Quantum Center is a multi-year investment, and 杏吧原创鈥檚 proven strengths in ground-breaking STEM research and academic rigor resulted in the university鈥檚 selection and designation as one of five HBCU leading quantum research centers in the partnership.

Seven 杏吧原创 Faculty Members Honored for Outstanding Research Contributions

The Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) at 杏吧原创 Agricultural and Technical State University recognized seven faculty members for research contributions to their respective fields. A panel of 15 faculty members considered 29 researchers and selected winners based on rigorous criteria. The winners will receive stipends and plaques to recognize their achievements.
