The MacArthur Foundation announced today that Walter Hood 鈥81, founder and creative director of Hood Design Studio, a landscape architecture firm based in Oakland, California is a 2019 recipient of the 鈥淕enius Grant.鈥 The $625,000 award is administered by the MacArthur Fellowship program that is paid out over a five year span, with no strings attached.
