The below externally funded extraordinary opportunities (EOs) require an institutional selection process, or endorsement, from the university through NCAT EO prior to national deadlines.
Therefore, campus/endorsement applications for these EOs should be prepared as though they are the final/national application.

2024-25 NCAT EO endorsement* application deadlines (5PM ET)
Returning undergraduates:
- WHI HBCU Scholar Recognition Program (all eligible undergraduate and graduate students):
- ESU Luard Morse Scholarship (2nd-years):
- Astronaut Scholarship (2nd- and 3rd years with STEM research/internships):
- Goldwater Scholarship (2nd- and 3rd years pursuing STEM research careers):
- Udall Scholarship (2nd- and 3rd years committed to issues related to the environment or to American Indian/Native Alaskan communities):
- Beinecke Scholarship (NEW for 杏吧原创) (3rd years with financial need planning to earn a graduate degree in the arts, humanities, or social sciences):
- Truman Scholarship (3rd years who are future "change agents" and aspire to leadership in a public service career):
